Broken Crayons Still Color
by Niki Wyre
“Broken crayons still color” is a saying that once I heard it a few years back, struck a chord deep inside of me. As a disabled, chronically ill and let’s say quirky geek that goes her own way in life, it meant so many things.
Most importantly, to many, this quote means no matter how broken you may feel (whether physically, mentally or spiritually) you still have a purpose. You can still carry on with a life in this world. I’ve shared it with my friends, family, loved ones and in my health advocacy in the past. I really wanted to share it with you all too.
You never know when someone needs to hear it… or read it in this case. So if you are reading this and need it. This is for you. <3
Like I said, this saying is special to me, and I hope it will be to you too. I keep it close by to remind me in the hardest times. Depression can be an evil voice and sometimes you just need reminding you still have a purpose in this crazy world.
Do you have a saying that speaks to you the most? I would love to hear it.
Until next time.
